Jockey Club Age-friendly City Project - I'm Smart of Road Safety in Age-friendly City

Key components:

1. Train the elderly to become road safety ambassadors and utilise different media channels to voice out opinions:
  • Explore and take photos of traffic accident black spots in the district, and use photos to share their expectation on improving the road safety.
  • Promote road safety messages through social media platforms, seminars, drama performances and exhibitions.

2. Organise community talks and roving community education activities to introduce the concept of age-friendly city and share the results of on-site visits and views of the elderly ambassadors, hoping to provide more platforms for older people to voice out opinions.

3. Organise a day camp for ambassadors to share their learnings through the programme and present certificate of acknowledgement to the ambassadors.
