Jockey Club Age-friendly City Project – Age-friendly Home Modification Programme (Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing)

Organisation:Tsuen Wan Kwai Ching District Women's Association

Key components:
  • Train volunteers on home visit skills, knowledge of special needs of elderly people, etc.
  • Organise street counters in Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing to promote the programme and recruit the elderly in need to join the programme.
  • Conduct home visits by social workers / trained volunteers who will accompany occupational therapists / contractors to carry out home safety assessment for the elderly in need.
  • Provide home modification for the elderly to enhance their home safety and living quality and build an age-friendly living environment.
