Walking Tours
Daily exercise keeps us fit! We should do exercise no matter how busy we are. Do you know walking is the simplest and safest aerobic exercise that effectively improves our health? Is your walking posture correct?
The Jockey Club Age-friendly City Project collaborated with online media, CTgoodjobs to organise "Walkability Tours" along three featured sightseeing routes which were guided by Walk Leaders* (aged 50+) from the Christian Family Service Centre. Participants and their families discovered attractions in different districts and learnt the proper walking posture. They were also encouraged to build a habit of walking which can enhance their physical and mental health.
*All Walk Leaders received training on proper walking posture as well as organisational and leadership skills under the "Jockey Club Age-friendly City Project – Walk the City for Active Ageing".
