Age-friendly Community Care Programme for the Elderly

Key components:
  • Lead the elderly AFC Ambassadors to visit public transport companies to learn about how the public transport operates, and encourage them to give opinions on how to improve the age-friendliness of transport environment.
  • Produce a micro-film promoting the caring culture of offering seats to the needy on public transport, and share publicly via social media platforms and on different means of public transport.
  • Organise sharing sessions as the premiere of the micro-film, and allow the elderly AFC Ambassadors to share their thoughts and opinions based on the community and public transport site visits, as well as to distribute the souvenirs of “reminding to offer seats to the needy” for participants.
  • Organise tram tours and street booths to promote caring the elderly.
  • Offer talks to primary and secondary schools in Wan Chai to strengthen the students’ understanding on the caring culture of offering seats and encouraging them to put into practice to show care to others in daily life.
